My name is Zhuohe (Harry) Liu. I was born in Shanghai, China in 1993. I received the B. S. E. degree in biomedical engineering (bioelectrical concentration) from University of Michigan in 2016, and had my second B. S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (UM-SJTU Joint Institute). I have experience in coding with MATLAB, Visual Basic, C++, Mathematica, etc. I am currently pursuing a doctoral degree at Rice University. My research interests include neural engineering, optogenetics, synthetic biology. I want to develop better brain machine interfaces, find more effective neural therapies, and establish better understanding of the brain in the prevention and treatment of neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, or Alzheimer’s disease.
